Lauren and Marshall: DUKE MANSION BRIDAL LUNCHEON

Let’s start the afternoon off right, sharing some recent photos of Lauren and Marshall’s wedding weekend!

First up, a sneak peek of Lauren’s bridesmaid’s luncheon, thrown by her mother at The Duke Mansion.

The Duke Mansion is always lovely, wonderfully hospitable, charming and a relaxing place to celebrate!

Gorgeous flowers by The Bloom Room, excellent planning by Come+Together Events and of course The Duke!

Stay tuned for a romantic rehearsal dinner and of course, the wedding to come!

Lauren and Marshall…it is not an exaggeration to suggest that they may be the sweetest couple in the country.

When you first speak to Lauren her voice has such a lilt and almost a sigh to it that she seems like she is out of

a fairy tale.  Cordial, kind, lovely, and happy are all words to describe her.  But she, nor Marshall, are limited to

sweet.  They are both fun, intelligent, generous, loyal, enthusiatic and determined.  They are truly a perfect match

and we wish them only happy tears for the rest of their lives.

As you can tell from the photograph, it rained on their wedding day but no spirits were dampened because of it.

Lauren is totally in love with her gorgeous Badgley Mischka wedding gown from Hayden Olivia Bridal.

Lauren’s gorgeous hair and makeup was from our favorite Kymm McLean, of Who’s The Fairest.

Stunning!

We loved how Lauren’s dad wanted to practice with the blusher.  It was such a sweet moment.

Lastly, no bride is ready to walk down the aisle until she holds her bouquet.  Lynette, from The Bloom Room,

created a masterpiece.  All of the flowers for the entire event were gorgeous, and next week we will have

plenty more images and details to share!

Congrats Lauren and Marshall!  We can’t wait for your “after session” this weekend!

Caroline & Gray: Carolina Country Club Reception

As luck would have it, we were just able to catch the last moments of sunset before dinner was ready.

The ballroom was gorgeous, definitely jaw-dropping!

There were so many wonderful moments of the reception, but these featured below are what really jumped out at me!

The band pulled Caroline and her girls up for an impromptu number!

Then Caroline’s girls, sang her the traditional Phi Mu candle song.

Again, not to be outdone by his bride and her fabulous maids, Gray pulled off a number with his fraternity brothers that

was full of passion!

But my most favorite moment of the entire reception had to be Caroline and Gray tearing up the dance  floor to swing music!

Sing, sing, sing!

Caroline and Gray and both of their families are wonderful!

We wish them the best and many “cheers” to come!

Caroline & Gray: Bridal Beauty Raleigh Wedding Photographers

Caroline and Gray’s late September wedding was so classic and romantic, like something from an Audrey Hepburn movie.

Elegant and timeless, Caroline and Gray were able to weave style and fun into a traditional setting and the beauty showed.

In addition to a gorgeous lace dress, Jimmy Choo strappy heels, and a cathedral length veil, Caroline wore a signature red lipstick which I adore!

Not to be outdone by his gorgeous bride, Gray had a custom tuxedo made for himself with a fabulous red lining.

The tux was made for Gray by Caroline’s family shop!

Gorgeous stationery by Crane set the tone for their church service and black tie affair.

The ceremony was a traditional church service at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.
Stay tuned for an absolutely beautiful reception and some seriously fantastic swing dancing!

Caroline & Gray: Sneak Peek Raleigh Wedding Photography

This sneak peek is also entitled, “Tears of Joy”.  Mothers and fathers have big jobs on the wedding day, and it’s not just about handing out envelopes.

I love documenting mothers dressing their daughters.   As a mother, I loved dressing my baby girl until she was old enough to dress herself.

Now if I even offer to choose an outfit I am met with objections and an “I can do it myself, Mommy!”  But on the wedding day, you can’t always do it yourself.

You need an extra set of hands and eyes to help you dress and prepare.  Having your mother to lean on is a precious gift and in those few moments

of buttoning a dress or doing the clasp of a necklace, I find such beauty and grace.

Caroline was blessed to have her Dad there too.  The reveal was so moving.  I will let the photos do the talking.

We are thrilled to be Caroline and Gray’s wedding photographers!  We wish them a lifetime of love and only happy tears!

Next week, we will have more images and details to share about Caroline and Gray’s classic wedding.
