Josie & Kevin: Engaged Charleston Wedding Photographers

In my quest to share the highlights of our busy fall, I think that this next session should warm everyone right up!

Josie and Kevin are hilarious, creative and so very sweet.  We are so excited to be photographing their wedding

in Asheville this May!

For their engagement session, Kevin wanted to take Josie to Charleston for her first time.  Folly Beach, the Lighthouse,

downtown and cobble stones street were calling our names.  We started off meeting up just before sunrise on the beach.

It was so much fun…except for the teeny tiny problem of about 1,000 sand nats.  I mean ugly y’all!  Nats everywhere!

I cannot believe how many gorgeous photos we were able to create that morning considering we were all covered in bites

by the end of it.

We just kept directing them to, “keep moving!”  And then I took my cardigan and swung it over my head like a lasso until I

thought my elbow would break off.  It kept the nats away…from our beautiful couple. It truly was fun and it certainly

was the biggest ice breaker we have ever staged.

We moved on to a deserted road to find the Lighthouse and found some gorgeous pools of sunlight along the way, no

hazy Photoshop filters folks, just the sun.  Josie’s Mom is a big fan of Lighthouses so this was a big bonus on her wishlist!

And lastly, what would a visit to Charleston be without seeing the old pink brick buildings, tree lined parks and the waterfront?

Blasphemy, that’s what it would be.

So we wrapped up our tour and headed to a nearby pub for beverages…five o’clock somewhere?
