Be authentic!

Not to tease, but before we reveal our Wedding Wednesday official post, we just wanted to put a little bug in your ear. Think of it as a sweet firefly and not a pest. We understand that photography and wedding blogs always show you tons of yummy images that make weddings look like pure magic. And for those couples whose wedding is being shown, it was pure magic. But remember, what is amazing to one person doesn’t translate to another so make a list of all of the things that you and your husband to be love.

What are the real things in your life that make you happy, giddy even? What is something that makes your heart skip a little beat or your knees get a little weak? What moves you? We beg all couples to put the answers to these questions into their wedding plans. Be authentic and unabashadedly happy on your wedding! Your friends and family just want to celebrate with you and honor the union you are forming.

Maybe you love sparklers or are so sick of seeing them? Maybe you think a candy buffet is cliche or a garter toss makes you want to run for cover? Whatever it is that you feel would make you feel fake or pretending on this one supremely special day, stay away from it. Embrace what makes you happy, teacozies or Tiffany’s, but plan for joy in your wedding day! Those are the memories that everyone wants, not stuff and nonsense just because it was on a list.
